TRAVERSE CITY, MI ¬¬– A free workshop to help veterans start and finance a business is set for Aug. 28 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Michigan Works office at 1209 S. Garfield Road in Traverse City.
The workshop is sponsored by VetBizCentral, a non-profit agency that assists veterans with counseling, networking, education and related services. Matt Sherwood, director from VetBizCentral, will facilitate the workshop along with Traverse City SCORE representatives Marshall Persky and Linda Ketterer. Brian Picarrazi from the U.S. Small Business Administration will discuss the business financing portion of the workshop.
