The Traverse Area Association of REALTORS® will celebrate over 87 years of presence in the Grand Traverse region with The TAAR Legacy Project “Honoring Our Legacy”. A kick-off event is scheduled for Thursday, August 1, 2013 which includes a dedication ceremony to commemorate The Legacy Garden – a brick patio located on the TAAR grounds which will serve as a gathering area for education, training, and social events.
The TAAR Legacy Project will assist with continuing education scholarship opportunities for its REALTOR® Members not only for REALTOR® credentials but also for leadership development at the association and community levels “We are very proud of the contributions made by our Members and Affiliates to shape this region and how they’ve made our region a place to call “home” for so many of our citizens, claimed Randy Dye the 2013 TAAR President.
“We are proud to support over 750 REALTOR® and Affiliate Members. The Legacy Garden will serve as a visual testimony to the efforts and successes of our Members and a reminder that strong organizations do not happen by osmosis but rather through the dedicated efforts of many members over a long time window” added Dye.
The Legacy Garden includes a line of energy-efficient gas products donated by DTE Energy, and engraved patio bricks, flagpole, and garden areas, all donated by individual/corporate Members.
