Tammy Tarsa, owner of HOLLI Home Health Care since January 2008, is a long time Traverse City resident. She is a registered nurse, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and is a certified Montessori early childhood teacher. She was motivated to begin a nursing career by her belief that people are important and by her desire to make a difference in their lives.
Tammy enjoys the varied aspects of her job including working in the field as a home health nurse, managing an ever growing number of employees, and making the day-to- day decisions that come with owning and running a growing business.
Tammy’s leadership skills have not only helped her grow her business but have given her an opportunity to serve in the community. She was a member of the TC Chamber’s Leadership Grand Traverse in 2009-2010. She will serve this coming year as Chair of Bay Area Senior Advocates. Tammy is a member of the BASA Senior Expo Committee, Rotary International, and the board of deacons at Northern Lakes Community Church. She volunteers at Bay Ridge Residential Apartments, TC Central High School, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Leelanau County 4H. Tammy is also a writer and is active with a local theater troupe, The Bayview Players.
Tammy lives in Leelanau County with her husband and 4 children and a barn full of animals.
