GRAND RAPIDS – Springfield Commercial Roofing was honored as a the winner of the 2013 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Small Businesses. This award, presented through its Center for Character Ethics seeks to identify and honor companies for their commitment to business ethics, customer satisfaction, and community contribution. The awards covered three categories: Non-Profit; Small Business (1-99 employees) and Large Business (over 100 employees). Springfield brought home the honors in the Small Business Category. This prestigious award was presented in front of 700 members of the Grand Rapids Economics Club at their monthly meeting at the J.W. Marriot hotel. The speaker for the luncheon honoring companies for their ethical business practices was Jordan Belfort – the former “Wolf of Wall Street” whose life story is currently in production for a movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
