Traverse City SCORE is hosting a Meet the Lenders event at the Great Wolf Lodge on October 23rd from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. The event is for entrepreneurs and current business owners who want to learn more about the various funding options available to help start or grow their small business.
Lenders from eight area banks and funding experts from other small business organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration, Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Certified Development Corporation, Michigan Economic Development Foundation, Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center, Mid-Michigan Innovation Center, Northern Initiatives, and the USDA – Rural Development will be participating in the event.
Access to capital is critical for both start-ups and existing businesses that want to grow. There are an ever-increasing number of options available to entrepreneurs from traditional bank financing and SBA loans to micro-loans, rural development gap financing, angel investing, and crowd-funding. “One of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs is to understand all of the funding options that may be available and what is required to qualify for various programs. We’re excited to bring so many area funding experts together at this event to talk with and help guide entrepreneurs on how to access capital”, said Traverse City SCORE Chairman Bruce Finlayson.
The Meet the Lenders event is free of charge. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. For more information visit upnorthscore.com or call 888-796-4913.
