Residents can meet with lawmaker to discuss issues
State Rep. Wayne Schmidt is inviting residents to attend local office hours to discuss issues of local and state concern.
The lawmaker will have office hours on the second Friday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m. at Grand Traverse Pie Co. at 101 N Park St. in Traverse City, starting on Oct. 11.
“I welcome hearing from constituents at any time, but with everyone’s busy schedule it can sometimes be difficult,” said Schmidt, R-Traverse City. “Having office hours in Grand Traverse County gives me the chance to hear from citizens who have concerns about state and local issues. Hearing from local residents about how they feel on these issues help me better represent the 104th District.”
Residents unable to meet Schmidt during the scheduled office hours can contact his Lansing office toll free at 1-800-REP-1046 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
