Julia is 24 years old and graduated from Michigan State University in 2013 with a degree in hospitality/business. She’s familiar with Northern Michigan as a long-time seasonal resident, plus she completed an internship with the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. She also worked at the Glik’s store in downtown Traverse City.
Prior to joining the Chamber she worked as a client ambassador for Quicken Loans, and before that she was a manager at Capital Grille in Troy. She’s glad to be back in Northern Michigan and is settling in well in her position at the Chamber.
“I love this region and I really wanted to be back up here,” she said.
Julia will assist Membership Sales Representative Sheila Peek with member programs and services, and work with the Chamber Ambassadors. She also shares time with administrative assistant Diane Brown at the Chamber’s front desk to welcome the many visitors to the Chamber building.
“I look forward to getting to know all of our Chamber members,” she said. “This is a fantastic organization and I really hope to be able to contribute to make it even better.”
Chamber Executive Director Laura Oblinger said Clark is a great fit for the Chamber staff.
“We’re so fortunate to have someone with Julia’s experience and energy join the Chamber team,” Oblinger said. “She has a strong background in client and customer service that will be a great asset for our members and the organizations within our building.”
