Traverse City, MI – May 24, 2013 – Maritime Heritage Alliance presents Nantucket native, Matthew Stackpole, speaking on the restoration of the Charles W. Morgan, the last surviving, sail-driven whaling ship in the world, located at Mystic Seaport, CT.
The lecture and slide presentation are scheduled for June 5 at 7 p.m. at the Maritime Heritage Alliance’s Edwin and Mary Brown Restoration Shop, 13268 S. West Bayshore Drive, Traverse City.
A reception with light refreshments of a seafaring nature and a tour of the Maritime Heritage Alliance facilities and boats, including the schooner
Madeline will follow the presentation.
