Food Network Casting Producer Bonnie Clark recently contacted the Chamber seeking chefs and cooks in the Grand Traverse region to compete in an upcoming episode of Guy’s Grocery Games for an opportunity to appear on national television and take home a top price of $20,000. This season, the producers are in search of very specific food specialists including:
Chefs would can make a creative dish in 15 minutes or less. Please tell us the reason that he or she is already used to being fast on their feet!
-OVER THE TOP FOOD
Chefs who already have gluttonous, crazy creations on their menu.
Cooks and chefs who are passionate about sandwiches and have a sandwich philosophy.
-INTERNATIONAL CUISINE OLYMPICS
Chefs who have the most authentic international cuisine in the country.
-CLASH OF THE CLASSICS
Cooks and chefs who already have on their menu classic, All- American dishes that are re-invented. Think meat loaf, mom’s tuna casserole, etc.
-OODLES OF NOODLES
Chefs who specialize in pasta or any type of noodle dish.
Any sort of cheese specialist.
Military vets who are currently working as a chef in a restaurant where grilling is their specialty (no BBQ).
-BACON TO THE MAX
Chefs who already have extremely inventive bacon dishes on their menu.
Cooks and chefs who have a unique perspective on pizza. Non-traditional ingredients, flavors and shapes welcome.
Cooks and chefs who have unique, spicy dishes on their menu that will make your face sweat, but still can be made in 30 minutes or less.
Cooks and chefs who make unique fried dishes at work every day.
Couples made up of two chefs.
Chefs and cooks who are used to making creative dishes on a budget.

Filming is currently scheduled to take place this fall in Northern California. Travel and filming combined should take 3-4 days. Production will pay for travel and lodging during the taping of the show.
