Government Relations Committee

The Government Relations Committee brings together business and community leaders from our area who volunteer their time to focus on the legislative initiatives of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance.

The committee monitors legislative and policy issues at the local, state and federal levels and the analyses and discusses the impact of these issues on business and economic development in the Grand Traverse region. The committee may draft and recommend to the Board positions on issues to be adopted and advocated to government officials, membership and the public.

The Government Relations Committee is committed to the following goals:


The Government Relations Committee meets on the 4th Friday of the month from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. in the First Floor Conference Room at the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce.
