Chamber Alliance

All Chambers within the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance are looked upon by its members to provide a wide range of leadership development opportunities. It is the intent of all Chambers to create a continuum of learning that is specific to where an individual may be on the spectrum of leadership development. This will range from emerging leadership programs to senior or c-level executive training. Take a look at where you are on the continuum of learning and you find a multitude of options available within our region to advance your professional development.

The partnership of the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance was established based on the premise that many legislative issues impact Michigan’s northern lower peninsula and upper peninsula in similar ways. These issues should be addressed regionally to maximize the political influence of this 14-county chamber alliance and its over 6,500 members. The alliance of the Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce, Benzie County Chamber of Commerce, Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce, Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce, Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce, The Lake Superior Community Partnership, Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce, Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce have identified legislative areas that should be monitored and advocated to elected officials on the local, state, and federal levels.

Member advocacy and grassroots activities will be developed and promoted using the Alliance’s legislative agenda as a basis for taking position on legislative policy.
