The Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to receive a special recognition tribute from Gov. Rick Snyder, presented by Snyder’s Northern Michigan Director Dave Nyberg and Policy Advisor Sara Wycoff at Friday’s Annual Celebration.
Among the Chamber’s accomplishments highlighted by Snyder included:
- The Chamber’s renewed focus on membership, including the success of our recent Membership Event which generated more than 260 new members and pushed the Chamber past the 2,000-member mark.
- The success of the Chamber’s Young Professionals program, which Snyder said “has become a major asset to the region by way of talent recruitment and retention.”
- The Chamber’s support for public education and early childhood development.
“As a result of this hard work, Northern Michigan will continue to be a place where people and families will feel welcome and enabled to live work and grow,” Gov. Snyder said in his tribute. “I sincerely thank the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce for its faithful dedication and devotion to the state of Michigan.”
