Welcome Ella Bole as the Chamber’s new first floor receptionist, who will also work as an administrative assistant to Membership Director Sherry Galbraith. Ella started training this week and will start full-time on Dec. 2.
Ella comes to the Chamber after working as an Associate Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual in Traverse City, where she worked for Chamber board member Mike Meindertsma. Ella is a member of the Chamber’s Young Professionals organization, where she’s active in YP Connects which links young professionals in other areas with local YPs who help familiarize them with the Traverse City area. She’s also a student at Northwestern Michigan College and volunteers in several local organizations and helps facilitate charitable events.
At the Chamber, Ella will be responsible for the many duties that accompany working at the front desk, including greeting and assisting the thousands of visitors and guests that come to the Chamber, answering the phone, assisting SCORE customers and keeping tabs on the Chamber’s busy first-floor conference room. She will also assist with various membership duties including data base maintenance, handling membership inquiries and assisting with new member events.
Ella will replace Kathy Bussell, who takes over as the Chamber’s Economic Administrative Assistant. Kathy will assist in the coordination and implementation of the Chamber’s various economic development programs and serve as staff to the Chamber’s Economic Development Team.
Kathy will also serve as the contact point for economic development inquiries, manage the economic development information on the Chamber’s website and maintain financial reports and records. She will also assist with the application and monitoring of Community Development Block Grants, Revolving Loan Fund projects, Chamber Foundation Development Fund inquiries, tax abatement applications and related activities.
Kathy has been part of the Chamber family for a dozen years working in various capacities for the organization, returning to full-time employment at the Chamber three years ago.
Please welcome Ella to the Chamber, and congratulate Kathy on her new position. They’re both ready to serve you.
