Young Professionals Annual Conference 2017
The Chamber’s Young Professionals program is among the most-active and dynamic in Michigan for engaging young people in their communities and professional sectors – and it’s about to take that involvement to a whole new level.
The Young Professionals, led by YP Chair Lauren Harris and its newly organized Executive Committee, is undertaking a major rebranding initiative that will include a new title for the organization, a new logo and upgraded program offerings to better reflect the group and its connection to the Traverse City Area Chamber. “I think it’s important for us to stay fresh and relevant and unique,” Harris said.
Many of the changes will be rolled out at this year’s YP Conference happening Friday, October 6 at Northwestern Michigan’s College’s Hagerty Center. The event includes a keynote address by former NASA astronaut Jerry Linenger, a special edition of Leadership at the Movies featuring presenter Jonathon Pool, and a StrengthsFinder talent assessment with leadership expert Barbara Jordan-Ellis. There will also be a lunchtime Expo event for businesses looking to connect with the YPs.
