TRAVERSE CITY, MICH., July 31, 2013 – Whether the issue is a heel wound, an irritating corn or callus, or simply an unruly toenail, taking care of foot health is something that grows increasingly difficult with age. Comfort Keepers, Northern Michigan’s leading in-home senior care provider, understands the issues and difficulties of the process, and is offering a series of specialized foot care clinics for northern Michigan residents throughout the months of August and September.
The following information outlines the dates, times, and locations of each clinic:
Traverse City Senior Center • 801 E. Front Street, Traverse City
Thursdays, August 1, 8, 15 and September 5, 12, 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Hope Village • 4354 Mt. Hope Road, Williamsburg
Thursdays, August 8 and September 12, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Garfield Township Hall • 3848 Veteran’s Drive, Traverse City
Tuesdays, August 20 and September 17, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon
The Rock • 115 E. Blair Street, Kingsley
Friday, September 13, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon
Interlochen Public Library • 9700 Riley Road, Interlochen
Friday, September 13, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Fife Lake Public Library • Lakecrest Lane, Fife Lake
Wednesday, September 18, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Registration for the foot care clinic events will be held on a first call, first-served basis. To make an appointment for the Garfield Township Hall clinics, call 231-941-1620. For all other locations, please contact the Senior Center Network office at 231-922-4911.
All foot care services are $20 each and will be supervised by a Registered Nurse. Each participant is asked to bring their own towel and water basin to their appointment.
