The Alliance for Early Success and Ounce of Prevention Fund 2013 Partner Summit will be held Nov. 6 – 8 in Boston. It will bring together more than 150 individuals from 29 states to discuss policy, advocacy, research and related issues to advance early childhood development efforts around the U.S.
Luciani, who co-chairs the Children’s Leadership Council of Michigan, will lead one of five plenary sessions being featured at the Summit. His program is entitled “Building Effective Business Coalitions,” and Luciani will talk about efforts in Michigan to build the business community’s support for early childhood development, and its positive impact on the business sector and the overall community. Among his co-presenters are John Bebow, an award-winning journalist who’s president and CEO of the Center for Michigan.
The conference will also feature 16 breakout sessions on a variety of early childhood topics including evaluating teacher effective in early education, leveraging health innovations to improve outcomes for young children, building partnerships to support early childhood efforts, using social media and other topics. Participants will also have an opportunity to consult with more than 40 members of the National Technical Assistance Network in areas including grassroots organizing, communications, data collaboration, policy development, funding and other topics.
It’s an honor for the Chamber’s early childhood development efforts to be highlighted at an important national gathering, and a testament to Luciani’s commitment to this worthwhile endeavor.
